The Chiefs announced on a Sunday morning that Mahomes wasn’t feeling great because of flu-like symptoms.

Even though he was sick, he was still expected to play in the game against the Denver Broncos.

Before the game, Mahomes wasn’t listed as injured, but he did get IV fluid treatments to help with his flu symptoms.

It was reported that he had a fever the night before the game.

However, the team didn’t label it as an injury that would have made him miss the AFC West matchup.

Patrick Mahomes is a really good American football player. He’s the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).

He was born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, and his dad used to be a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). Patrick went to Whitehouse High School in Texas, where he was awesome at football, baseball, and basketball.

After high school, he decided to play college football at Texas Tech.

He did really well there, especially in his junior year, leading in passing yards and touchdowns in college football.
