The one part of Paige Spiranac’s life you’ll never know about

Not every topic is on the table for Paige Spiranac.

During Monday’s episode of her “Playing A Round” podcast, the 27-year-old golfer explained why she chooses to stay mum about her relationship status.

“I get this question a lot, and I refuse to answer that and I have my reason,” Spiranac said.

An open book to her nearly 3 million Instagram followers, Spiranac said she’d prefer to keep elements of her personal life private.

“I think a lot of people think I don’t talk about it because of my business, and if I say that I’m with someone or I’m married, then I’ll lose male followers, and that’s actually not the case,” Spiranac explained.

“I am so open and honest about everything in my life, as you guys can tell from the podcast, that I want something to myself, and having a public relationship is very difficult, and as soon as you make it public, you’re giving everyone the right to ask questions and you have to then answer them,” she continued.

It’s been reported Spiranac wed athletic trainer Steve Tinoco in 2018.

On Monday’s episode, Spiranac also spoke about the hazards that come with putting a private romance on a public platform.

“If I do post about it, and I end up breaking up with that person, I then have to talk about the breakup ’cause I owe that to everyone because I made my relationship public,” Spiranac said.

“Also, it’s just people tend to get involved, and I don’t like that. When a big milestone has happened in my life, it’s always turned into something that is not joyous anymore because people comment on it and they turn it into something that’s it not, and so I just want to leave my relationship and my family and things that are really, really, really important to me out of it,” she continued.

Spiranac said it was her choice to become a public figure, not those within her inner circle.

“I decided to be public, I decided to open up my life online. My parents didn’t decide to do that,” she said. “If I have a significant other, they also haven’t decided to do that. My friends haven’t decided to do that. And so I don’t want them to be going through and reading nasty comments about themselves.”

Although Spiranac has combated critical commentary in the past, she made it clear in November there are certain remarks she won’t tolerate.

“I get this comment all the time. I want to set the record straight. I have never and will never complain about that. Just don’t call me a slut or a whore solely based on the tops I like to wear. It’s not that hard to understand,” she wrote to a follower.
