We are sure you’ve heard of Gabriella Degasperis, aka GabbyGolfGirl. Degasperis is a 16-year-old golf sensation from West Palm Beach, Florida who has been making waves in the golf industry. The young golfer is set to compete with entities like Paige Spiranac and Peter Finch at the upcoming PGA Tournaments, Creator’s Classic. Her journey began with a set of clubs from her parents, and now she boasts 700k followers across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
In a recent interview with Golf Monthly, Degasperis expressed her thoughts on how she feels about the golf content going around these days on social media, especially the content Spiraace and Grace Chris make. Degasperis started by saying that she is extremely cautious and clean when it comes to the content she creates. “I’m super clean when it comes to creating content. I would say they’re doing their thing, and that’s fine”, said Degaspris.
Paige Spiranac and Grace Chris are both golf influencers who create content around golf, fitness, and lifestyle with a playful and edgy tone, but according to Degaspris, she will never do something like that. “I have nothing against it, but it’s just not something I would do ever”, she said. With a passion for golf at just two years old, Degaspris has grown into a social media star and has inspired a new generation of golfers. The young sensation has achieved a lot of milestones at just the age of 16.
Her amazing content has smashed through golf’s stuffy stereotypes and she has inspired a whole new crew of young golfers especially young females who are looking for a their way in the industry. And Degaspris has made it her mission to do that.
Gabriella Degaspris’s ultimate goal
Gabriella Degasperis has a lot of fans, but she wants more than just a big following. She wants to inspire young golfers and be a role model for them. Growing up, she didn’t have a golfer she could look up to, someone who showed her the real ups and downs of the game. So, she’s trying to be that person for others. And Creator Classic, starting on September 1, 2024, is just the place for that.
Degasperis admires Brooke Henderson who is a pro golfer who took the time to connect with her at a tournament. She also loves watching Nelly Korda play, her swing is amazing! Gabriella hopes that by sharing her golf journey, she can inspire kids to fall in love with the game like Shasd.
