Paige Spiranac isn’t happy with a couple of things relating to golf.
Spiranac, who plays golf and does sports betting that involves the sport, isn’t a fan of how players can’t wear shorts during the events.
“Golf is weird. Let’s not have the guys on tour wear shorts but instead make the golf ball go shorter,” Spiranac tweeted.
The PGA Tour doesn’t allow any player to wear shorts on a course because it’s an issue of “appearance.” Per the rules, it wants every player to look “professional” while playing.
This, in turn, has the golf balls go a bit shorter which affects the scores for the events.
It might change at some point, but right now is not that time. The PGA Tour seems perfectly fine with making sure it’s mandatory that every player wears long pants.
