Paige Spiranac makes Phil Mickelson joke after Tiger Woods hands tampon to PGA rival

Golf beauty Paige Spiranac made light of Tiger Woods handing Justin Thomas a tampon on his PGA Tour return.

The 15-time major winner returned to action at the Genesis Open in California this week after seven months out. After successfully outdriving his opponent, the 43-year-old handed his playing partner the sanitary product, producing a smile from the two-time PGA Championship winner.

The prank subsequently went viral on social media, with top influencer Spiranac using it to make a joke about LIV Golf’s Phil Mickelson. “I need a LIV vs PGA tour Ryder cup type event just so Tiger can give Phil a tampon after out driving him,” the 29-year-old replied.

Just earlier this month Spiranac made some savage remarks about Mickelson, who took exception with Sam Ryder’s outfit at the Farmers Insurance Open. “The Tour doesn’t allow shorts but does allow this week’s leader to wear joggers with ankle socks?” Mickelson tweeted about the PGA Tour event.

“Showing 4 inches of ankle? I’m no fashion guy, never will be, but there are some things I won’t ever understand.” Spiranac saw the tweet but not via the six-time major winner’s account, as she is blocked by the golf star.

That did not stop her from hitting back at the 52-year-old, as she questioned his manhood and even mentioned his wife Amy.

“Phil Mickelson, which I didn’t see because I’m blocked, but people were posting about it,” Spiranac said in an instalment of her “Playing a Round” podcast.
“Phil Mickelson even had this tweet saying, ‘How can you show four inches of skin?’ Also, if Phil thinks that’s four inches, I feel sorry for his wife.”
Spiranac went on to respond to defend golf legend Woods against any potential backlash over handing Thomas a tampon.

Woods, who badly injured his right leg and foot in a serious car accident two years ago, registered a two-under-par 69 to finish five shots off the lead after the first round of the event in California. Thomas meanwhile, is currently tied 14th with a score of three under par.
