The final match of the women’s singles at the French Open 2024 took place on June 8.
In the title match, Iga Swiatek of Poland, who is ranked number one in the WTA rankings, defeated Jasmine Paolini of Italy in two sets. The match ended in 68 minutes 6:2, 6:1.
The Polish player earned €2,400,000 for her victory at Roland Garros. Paolini received a check half as much – €1,200,000.
Swiatek won her fourth title on the courts of Paris (2020, 2022, 2023, 2024). For Iga, this is the 21st consecutive victory on the Courts de Paris, she has played a total of 37 matches here, losing only two.
