Internet sensation Paige Spiranac has admitted to being pestered online by celebrities – just not the ones fans would expect.
In 2016, the influencer failed in her bid to play full time on the LPGA Tour, but she’s still become a prominent name in the sport. With an Instagram following of 3.7 million, the star regularly captivates her fans with a mixture of golf tips and eye-catching pictures.
And in the build-up to The Masters, she again took social media by storm by showing off her new Augusta collection of clothing. Since Jon Rahm donned the green jacket, she’s hogged the limelight again, holding a question and answer session where she was asked about the attention she gets from high profile names.
“There has been a couple that have been surprising and cool,” she answered. “It’s bad that when they then unfollow you, and you are like ‘oh great, what did I do now?’
“But the secret is, is that most of the time, they don’t follow you but they will send you a DM. So I have had some DMs from people that are just out of left field.”
But Spiranac, 30, stopped short on lifting the lid on any names: “People that I don’t expect at all and I am like that is actually kind of cool that they have seen my content,” she added. “But I will never say who.”

Despite the frequency of her posts, the American star rarely delves into personal matters when addressing fans. In 2018, Spiranac married sports trainer Steven Tinoco, but confirmed 13 months ago that the pair had separated.
But she’s never been afraid to take aim at the game’s current stars. She’s regularly taken aim at LIV star Bryson DeChambeau, initially mocking his 2020 claim that he would be playing Augusta as a ‘par 67’, and was merciless when he contrived to clothesline himself with a course rope in a rebel event last year.
